Edai was a rapper from Chicago, Illinois. His songs are considered drill music, a subgenre of Hip Hop. Edai is Black Disciples gang member from the set known as ‘600’ which also goes by the name O’Block and D’Block. He often praises his gang and fellow gang members in his songs, as well as attack gang members from rival gangs in his songs.

Edai has released numerous mixtapes which includes ‘So Serious’, “Dey Ain’t Drillin”, “How I’m Drillin” and “Im Self Made”. Edai’s most popular video on YouTube is ‘Sixdouble0’ which featured fellow 600 gang members Rondonumbanine and L’A Capone. Sometime in 2013, while being interviewed by Zack TV 1 about his rap career, shots could be heard going off from a distance.

Edai is a member of the 600 set of the Black Disciples, which sometime goes by the nickname “O’Block” and “D’Block”. The 600’s are currently at war with a couple of Gangster Disciples sets in the South Side of Chicago which includes ‘Bricksquad’ and ‘St Lawrence Boys(STL)”. Lil Jay and FBG Duck, both members of STL, released a song titled “Who The F*ck Is Dude” which took aim at Edai. In “Who The F*ck Is Dude”, Lil Jay says “Edai you don’t want the beef, who the f*ck is dude”. Edai has also released some diss songs aimed at the St Lawrence Boys, in his song “Im So Serious”, Edai says “I’m smoking on that Tooka pack”, this line is aimed at dead STL member Shondale “Tooka” Gregory, whom was murdered at a bus stop in 2011. Edai has also sent out tweets aimed at the Bricksquad gang such ‘BricksquadK’ which stands for ‘Bricksquad Killer”.

In the early hours of August 1, 2021, Edai was shot and killed in Chicago at the intersection of 72nd Street and South Bennett Avenue.  Reports indicated he was hit multiple times in the chest and stomach. He was rushed to the University of Chicago Medicine, where he was pronounced dead.
